Next to our main distillery in Belgium, the South African distillery is the first distillery in our worldwide network of craft distilleries.
In order to reduce our carbon footprint, we decided to produce closer to the end-customer.
By producing at the other side of the world we lower the amount of bulk transportation
and thereby making our contribution to a greener planet.
Don’t worry, as we keep distilling with our I-still and our original recipe, the quality of our gin remains top notch.
So come and visit our distillery at Avontuur Wine Estate and indulge yourself in the world of The Drunken Horse Gin.

TOURS AND EVENTS
By appointment:
- Full experience (any day): Take a tour on the estate in a classic car + visit the distillery + art gallery + gin tasting (min. 2 pers.)
- Private cocktail dinner (any day): Private dining experience in the distillery/art gallery. Signature cocktails + foodpairing (minimum 6 pers.)
WEEKLY PROGRAM
Fridays from 16h-21h: Gindowner
Sundays from 12h-18h : Gin and tonic picknick at the lawn
